A little about Guy

Well, I will admit that while I love the idea of blogging, I don't have a ton of experience doing it. I guess I will just start by telling you a little about who I am...

I was raised by two of my heroes (mom & dad) and was the youngest of 8 kids. I consider myself very blessed to still be as close to all my sibblings and their kids as I am. We love getting together for game nights, family reunions, trips etc... You can take a look at my side of the family through the link so I won't go into too much detail. I love my family a lot and am excited for us to move close to them again next year when dental school is finished!

One of my best friends from high school married a girl who happened to be cousins with my soul mate. After waiting a whole summer for Kristin to get home from a summer in Jerusalem, they finally set us up on a blind date. I somehow got up the courage to ask her to marry me (not on the blind date), and she said yes, can you believe it! I am still somewhat in shock 7 years later, not just because she is such a babe, but she is an amazing person. I won't go on and gush about her, but I want to say that I couldn't be blessed with a greater eternal companion!

We then started our "happily ever after". We tried right away to have kids, but that wasn't in the cards for us at first. We eventually were impressed to adopt, and that was the best decision that we have ever made. My little buddy Adam came into our family almost 3 years ago and our lives have been blessed every day since. He is such a little ball of energy. He runs me ragged every day after school, but I love every minute of it. As much as I love playing with him, I love watching Adam and Kristin together. She is such an incredible mom. We have so much fun together!

As for hobbies and interests, I really spend most of my time hanging out with my little family. We love going to the park to play catch, fly kites, go on walks or camping. I am an avid sports fan, but don't have as much time since we've been out here for school (1 more year!). Coming from a competitive family, I love game nights. Whether it is with family or friends, I love getting together for a little friendly competition.

Well that might have been more about me than you wanted to know, but I tend to ramble at times. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this blog. I know that I can never understand how hard the decision that you are making is, and I pray that Heavenly Father will guide you to choose the right family for your child whether it be us or someone else. Placing a child for adoption is such a selfless act, and is certainly not the easy way out. I will be forever thankful to Adam's birth mother for what she has done for our family, and pray for the day when we can bring another child into our home.
